As a kid, I use to draw this perfectly square house. It had 4 windows in each corner, the front door was always in the middle with a long sidewalk leading to it, and a triangle roof with a little chimney. I always drew the sun in the sky and birds flying above the house. Sometimes I would get fancy and draw an apple tree in the front yard with a little dog near it.
I realized now that I have been planning my goals all this time through drawings; what I wanted to see myself doing, and where I wanted to be. My dreams have only gotten bigger since then. I believe that anything is possible when you start with an imagination. Those pictures stuck with me for 20 years. I am proud to tell my younger self that I am still dreaming that same dream, and not only dreaming it, I am making it happen. It may not come as fast as I may want it to but I am glad I still have patience enough to watch it come to me.
In the meantime, I choose to keep dreaming about where life can take me and how I can best handle the situations along the journey.
